Write about the last time there was snow on Christmas day.
Yesterday’s morning dawned bright and clear, the sun was shining and it couldn’t have looked less like a winter wonderland. The usual mayhem of the day unfolded. Champagne breakfast with salmon bagels, the exchanging of presents and toasts to absent friends, before settling into the hubbub of the day, and those tasked with the job retiring to the kitchen to prepare the feast. Just before five o’clock the sun set in a blaze of glory, heralding the night-time. All was still and icy cold, then at just before midnight the magic happened. It snowed, officially making it a white Christmas.
