Lewis grieving the death of his wife, Joy in July 1960
A Grief Observed – C. S. Lewis (1961)
This date marks the end of my walk through, A Year with C. S. Lewis.
It all started when my husband got me the book … A Year with C. S. Lewis (360 daily readings from his classic works) for my birthday 2016.this book and I decided to start a blog: Idle musings of a creative writing tutor (writing about what the various daily passages inspired within my warped mind).
The first blog was based on Memorabilia.
(Quote) As I look through old photographs and memorabilia of people that were once in my life … I wonder at the merit of keeping such paraphernalia. Soon, within the space of a very few years it will all mean nothing to those that remain after my demise.
This is how I kind of feel about this blog.
It has been a blast doing it every day for the past year but if asked what it has all been for, the answer has got to be to amuse me. But then at the beginning I suppose that’s the inspiration of all creative writing.
Has anyone else read it … the stats on the website show that it has received a fair few visitors, so hopefully some will have read a bit of it.
