The Problem of Pain – C. S. Lewis
The word LOVE is all too frequently attributed arbitrarily and therefore the true meaning is often lost. Love should be all consuming, overpowering, quivering in the stomach, can’t live without them, gut wrenchingly nauseating and the highest kick of all times, all rolled into one.
Love is … unsaid words
Silent bonds exchanged
The venture, willingly undertaken together
Compelled to keep the other safe from harm
Love is … words in actions
Support given when it’s needed most
An unspoken commitment that binds forever
Being close when there is no one else
Love is … words in feelings
Moods requiring no explanation
Impromptu kisses, the wink of an eye or a shared smile
Being the one of choice, every time
Love is … not all about words
It’s someone to grown with, and not just to old age
It’s knowing that this love will not let you fall
It is never simply saying … I love you
