There was nothing to do, no clubs or night cafes and since the cinema had closed its door for the last time there had been nothing left in the way of entertainment. The streets were littered with clusters of young adults that congregated in their own groups; gang warfare was rife, as was drugs. The pressure to conform was backed by revenge attacks on those that refused. Each gang metering out their own unique form of punishment. Society banged on about how easy it was to just say no, but there were no alternatives … gangs and drugs or die.
