We live with a don’t do as I do
Do as I say regime
When those that govern this land
Set the rules
To break them
Out of hand
When it suits them
But penalise the masses
That dare to do the same
They lie and cheat
To secure their seat
In the echelons of control
Looking after number one
And when they have done
When the deal is set
And their damage limitation reached
They walk away
Back to the privileged life
They have always enjoyed
Not conceding defeat
But with head held high
In total denial
As to the devastation
Hardships and suffering
They leave in their wake
