(Madisyn Taylor)
There are times when gloom or darkness causes us to momentarily lose sight of the light. Although it is at these times when the thought of the sun can help us. It’s warm, glowing rays brighten even our thoughts, and it's good to remember that despite appearances the sun is shining right now. We may not be able to see it at this very moment, but if clouds block our view, they are only filtering the sun's light temporarily. If darkness has fallen, we know that the sun is still shining at this very moment somewhere not too far away, and it's only a matter of time before it will shine on us again.
When we remember that the sun is still shining, we know that things are still in motion in the universe. Even if life feels like it is at a standstill, sometimes all we need to do is have faith and wait for the time when everything is in its perfect place. Or we can choose to follow the cues of the sun and continue doing our work and shining our light, even when we can't yet see results. In doing so we exercise our patience, making sure we are prepared when opportunity knocks, and all other elements are in their right and perfect places.
My Thoughts:
I have always kept a diary, well for as long as I can remember I have. Most of the younger life were thrown out long ago, but as of yet I retain the ones from the last few decades. What I want to do with them, when I can find the courage to re-read them is to go through each day and extract the nice stuff, the stuff about the animals we have fostered and the things we have got up to and then, once each is done I will burn it.
I want to eradicate all evidence of the bad times and just leave the good. Writing is a kind of therapy for me. However, even though there are things written as I felt them at the time, they may well upset others (especially as in some things that is not how I later felt about the situation, or that things did eventually get sorted amicably). Therefore, I feel we do not need to make atrocities of our lives permanent, they happened, we got through them, so we should move on and leave them in the past.
In recent years I have published a blog on my webpage, but as it is stuff that could be read by the great unknown, I put nothing in there that I do not want to share. It’s not read, well not as far as I know, but it could be. To be honest getting an audience is not the issue with it … I simply love to write and enjoy doing it, and that is what all hobbies should be about.
