The child watched Winnie the Pooh and Piglet as they again embark on a quest to find Eeyore. When she was little, she could never understand why they were all friends, the donkey was such a down-in-the-mouth grump who was forever doing the woe-us-me act that often spoilt all the fun. As she got older, she was to learn the practical difference between depressing and depression. She sat with her dad, slumped in his chair again, the weight of the world on his shoulders and held his hand in silence … they watched the cartoon again but now she understood.
