Miracles – C. S. Lewis (1947)
It is all supposed to have started with a little unconventional, homeless couple with a new baby trying their best to be a normal family. Since then it has turned into the ultimate birthday party for the world.
I love Christmas, even though I am now a Buddhist, but these days a connection to the religious meaning is not a requirement to be able to join in the festive fun. It is a time when there is more good-will around, a more sharing community and an innate intuition to be nice to people, even if you do not know them. This, is my eyes must be a good thing, and it is just a shame that it is not happening throughout the whole year.
