The colours represent the five elements and the five pure lights. Blue symbolizes the sky and space, white the air and wind, red for fire, green for water and yellow is the earth. They also indicate directions, north, south, east, west, and central. Fading colours indicate the more positive spiritual vibrations that have been sent. They are always hung high as they’re never meant to be still but catch the wind to transport the silent prayers.
