Time
Time is always relevant
No matter what the pursuit
The ultimate testament
To a soul of ill repute
Life progresses sluggishly
Between Christmas and new-year
Ticking all down grudgingly
Towards a fresh frontier
Sharpening our emotions
The next adventure awaits
Going through the motions
For what midnight will create
But guiding hands conceded
To rule this mortal lifetime
May never be repeated
